Any company that is interested in buying or selling a business will benefit from specialist advice and support from an experienced business consultant.
That’s where I come in, having helped many companies with mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies over the last 25 years. It can be a daunting and stressful experience, with many company owners having had no experience of the due diligence process or knowing what questions will be asked and what information is needed in order to achieve a successful, efficient outcome. I offer financial planning for Directors as deals that have undergone full due diligence are far more likely to have a successful outcome. I work with my clients incredibly closely, every step of the way, to support them with information, advice, negotiations, accurate management accounts and thorough financial forecasts.
During the process of selling a business, I work with my clients to create a financial data room which comprises a wealth of information a prospective buyer will need. This typically includes a three-year financial overview of the business, including its structure, accounts, Companies House information, contracts, and leases. I can also be there during any meetings and negotiations to answer any questions that may arise, whether they’re regarding working capital, the financial business plan, financial projections, terms of debt, staff incentives, or the customer portfolio.
